A Guide to Cuteness

A Guide to Cuteness is a project about the concept of cuteness. The first idea came along while flipping through a magazine called, Some Archive #1 by Sangah Shin in 2019.

With the help of the inspiration, I am along with the concept of Cuteness which is political, and it is culturally constructed as a tool to objectify a person.

It is normally used in celebrity culture in South Korea. Cuteness is used as a Propaganda to control the society. The industry makes celebrites to act cute to attract consumers. Certain visual or human behaviour/ movements as languages are used in the video to guide the audience.

The BJ/internet celebrity starts communicating with her followers. Later on, the backstage appears to express the feeling of emptiness of the BJ.
